The Georgetown Global Edge is a premier academic program tailored for leaders across Europe seeking to enhance their strategic capabilities and global perspective. The program is developed by Georgetown University's Latin America Leadership Program (LALP) at the McDonough School of Business in collaboration with the Georgetown Spain Foundation.
With sessions held in the vibrant cities of Madrid, Spain, and Washington, D.C., this hybrid program combines immersive in-person experiences with dynamic virtual modules, offering a unique transatlantic approach to leadership development.
Focused on empowering mid-career professionals, the curriculum integrates key pillars of leadership, including cross-cultural collaboration, innovation strategies, sustainability practices, and navigating the complexities of global business. - Madrid Module: September 22 - 26, 2025 (all day)- Experience the heart of European business and culture in one of the continent's most dynamic cities. Madrid serves as a hub for innovation, trade, and strategic decision-making, offering participants a firsthand understanding of European markets and leadership practices.
- Virtual Module: October 6 -November 7, 2025 (one morning per week)- Between the in-person modules in Madrid and Washington, D.C., the program features a series of engaging virtual sessions designed to maintain momentum, deepen learning, and facilitate real-time application of concepts.
- Georgetown Module: November 17-21, 2025 (all day)- Immerse yourself in the epicenter of global policy and diplomacy. Washington, D.C., provides unparalleled access to insights on geopolitical strategy, multilateral organizations, and international business, connecting you to the world’s most influential decision-makers.

Using a holistic approach, you’ll integrate key elements such as supply chain optimization, adaptive leadership, sustainable practices, and technological innovation to create actionable solutions that drive measurable results and positive change.
This program offers a transformative learning experience, empowering leaders with the tools, frameworks, and insights to elevate their impact and thrive in the global business arena.
Eligibility Requirements
- Five or more years of work experience related to business
- Based in Europe
- At least 30 years of age
- Proven leadership capability and potential for growth in global business
- English fluency (the program will be taught in English without simultaneous translation)
- Must be able to participate in both in-person modules in Madrid, Spain and Washington, D.C. in order to fulfill the attendance requirement
Costs
The program tuition is USD $17,500. The program tuition covers:
- 7 weeks of virtual and in-person courses
- Academic materials and individual assessments
- Continuous support from Georgetown faculty and staff throughout the program
- Hotel accommodations in Washington D.C.
- Breakfast, Lunch, and coffee breaks during in-person modules in Madrid and Washington DC
- Local transportation to program activities in Madrid and Washington, DC
- Basic medical insurance for emergencies in Washington, DC
- Executive Certification of program participation issued by LALP (non-degree)
*All participants must cover their airfare and any other costs and incidentals they incur during the program.
